From the Rhine to the Rhône: Bikepacking the Jura

A 3-day bikepacking adventure from Basel to Geneva, crossing the Swiss and French Jura. Starting in Basel, the route climbs into the Jura mountains and follows the wild Doubs Valley past Saint Ursanne. Day two brings steep climbs, rugged descents, and remote trails through the French Jura. I'm riding through Morteau and spend a night high above Lac Saint-Point. On the final day, after crossing back into Switzerland, the route passes Lac de Joux and Col du Marchairuz before a windy descent to Lake Geneva. With wild camping, challenging climbs, and incredible nature, it’s a demanding but unforgettable journey.
