A glorious blue sky, fresh air and a radio programme in my ear. I'm on the road again, travelling south through Aars. I take a short break in the chic little town of Viborg and do some shopping.
Afterwards, my conviction that Denmark is a flat country is challenged. Some of the landscape here is reminiscent of Piedmont. The route takes its toll, and in survival mode I forget to film and take photos. What a shame, because the area is really worth seeing.
In the evening, my legs get really heavy. But I have an even harder time finding a suitable place to spend the night. Wide fields with farms are not inviting for wild camping. Eventually I turn in in a small wooded area and only realise when I fall asleep that the motorway is pretty loud. Fortunately, in-ear headphones are also good hearing protection.
