Old road sign or a grave along the road

Looks like a grave from 1. April 1003 - or maybe the first april joke ever.

Me arriving in Skövde, Sweden.

What a particularly beautiful morning. I wake up and actually want to turn round again, but then I notice how the top of the tent suddenly starts to glow. I open the tent and see the most beautiful sunrise through the trees.

I'm in a forest outside Habo, and the plan is to ride to Skövde to visit my cousins. The weather is great, and a slight headwind should cool things down on the climbs. Let's go.

My legs are a little heavier than usual today. In addition, there is hardly any rhythm on this route. On small side roads with lots of climbs and descents, it's rarely flat and straight ahead. But I push on, count the metres in altitude and try to take in the beauty of the landscape. But today the journey is not the reward, the destination is the reward. I want to take a shower, plop down on the sofa and watch the Olympic Games.

After Ekedalen, the route takes me onto the 28 overland road, where I am buffeted by overtaking lorries and campers for 20 km. I'm sure Komoot has reasons for sending me on this dangerous route. In retrospect, it turns out that there would have been a less busy alternative side road (O2875), with the same distance and the same altitude metres.

But in the end I survive this adventure and reach my destination. Tomorrow is a rest day.
